The July 2020 book from Marilyn Monroe’s collection is Invisible Man by scholar and novelistRalph Ellison!

The novel uses the concept of social invisibility to explore what life was like for a Black man in the early to mid 20th century. It is often lauded as one of the best works of English literature, and I am looking forward to reading this book and learning more about Ralph Ellison.

I have not yet read this work, but I know it is often assigned in school. At the end of July I will post a review, and throughout the month I will do more research on its publication. If you would like to read along, please feel free to join our conversation on Instagram!
