About the Founder

Hi there! I’m Dr. Carly Maris, and I am the founder and curator of the Vintage Book Club, formerly the Pinup Book Club. I have been interested in vintage styling and history for 20 years, and have my PhD in History. I have published on burlesque in the 19th century, and am currently researching Marilyn Monroe’s personal book collection. I am also coming up with a recreation of her collection by finding the same editions of the books that she owned. I add to my collection regularly, and you can find updates on my TikTok and Instagram accounts.
